Local-first journaling — minimal data footprint

This statement explains how privacy works when you use Trading Journal — Notes Vault (the “App”). It supplements information shown on the App Store and any developer-hosted policy at loowz.com/privacy. If anything conflicts, the version that best reflects the App’s current behavior should prevail for that product.
The App is a productivity tool for recording trades, notes, tags, moods, and attachments. Optional device security (for example PIN and biometric unlock) is provided by Apple’s system APIs. Your journal content is intended to remain on the device unless you explicitly export it (for example as JSON) or share it through actions you initiate outside this policy’s control.
We do not operate sign-in accounts inside the App for journaling, do not require you to create a profile to use core features, and do not sell your trade journal as a commercial data product. Operational support may still require you to contact us through channels you choose (email, website forms, etc.); anything you send there is governed by that channel and this document where relevant.
Trade entries, notes, images you attach, tags, and app preferences are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad using standard on-device storage. They are not uploaded to our servers as part of normal App operation. Deleting the App or clearing its data (where iOS allows) typically removes that local content unless you have made separate backups through Apple or third-party tools.
Biometric authentication, Keychain, and other iOS features are provided by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy policies. Opening links (such as the App Store or developer website) leaves the App and is subject to those sites’ practices.
The App is rated 9+ on the App Store. It is not directed at collecting personal information from children. Parents and guardians should use device parental controls as appropriate.
Because journaling data stays on your device by default, cross-border transfers of your journal content by us do not occur through the App itself. Laws such as GDPR or CCPA may still apply to how we handle communications if you contact us from those regions.
We may update this page when the App or legal context changes. The “Last reviewed” date at the top will be adjusted accordingly. Material changes may also be reflected on the App Store or developer site.
